A LUXURY TOUR GUIDE

It was a Trip I'll never forget. Two years ago, in my first year of 'Bachillerato', my English teacher, who was really inspiring for me, organized a trip to London. I couldn't believe it: a trip to my favourite city ever in the world in which I hadn't been never before! It was such a marvellous opportunity to turn my dream in reality. I joined it with no doubts.

I had a lot of anecdotes about the trip, but one, the most awesome, happened to me in Madame Tussaud's Museum, where there were wax statues of a lot of famous people. I nearly got crazy when I saw the quantity and quality of the wax figures, they were extremely real and there were a lot of actors, singers and famous people which I look up so much. Suddenly, I found the wax figure of Orlando Bloom, my favourite actor ever by then. I started to take a lot of photos with it, really excited, when a guy started to laugh at me. I stared at him in a really furious way. “What a rude guy!” I thought. Then, he offered himself to take a photo of me with the figure. After that, we entablished a conversation. He was English, from London, and he had been more than ten times in that museum, but he still went on going there because he loved it. He was very friendly. Something called my attention about him: he was wearing dark sunglasses and a wool cap, I could not see his face. I didn't give it importance until we finished the visit to the museum and he asked me to go out with him. I had finished all the duties of that day and I had free time until the next day so, I accepted. He took me into the city centre, and as my tourist guide, showed me Piccadilly Circus and a lot of amazing things. I was really amazed and he laughed at my face excited. Finally he got me to my hotel's door. “Well, I don't your name yet. Mine is Juani.” He smiled openly while he was taking off his sunglasses and his wool cap... “I can't believe it!” I cried almost fainted. It was him! He was Orlando Bloom himself. I was speechless. He laughed at me and kissed my cheek. “Nice to meet you Juani, I have spent a really marvellous time with you. See you soon!” I went to my bedroom actually socked, but when I told my friends where I had been, they didn't believe me.

I don't mind at all because it was the best day of my life. I hope someday I will meet him again and we walk around London again.

Cosplay: a Freak Show or an Absorbing Hobbie?

AN absorbing HOBBIE?

‘Costume Play’ more known like Cosplay it’s an activity very famed in the events of Japanese culture and Manga. But, what is Cosplay? when did it started? what is attractive about it for young and not so young? 

First of all, as its name says, Cosplay is a kinf of play which could be consist in dressing up like your favourite characters from television, cinema, manga, books, comics... 

There are several types and levels of Cosplay: there are some which are incredibly gorgeus  and other not so much, ones which are hand-made and other which are bought, everything depends on the skills of the ‘cosplayer’, the person who are under the costume. It is important not only the appareance of the person, even his personality, people have to act like the character, to interpret their role.

This phenomenom started in the 70’s in the Comic Markets in Japan, where people dressed up as their favourite comic and manga characters, which is still celebrating nowadays. It has been spread over the world and nowadays this phenomenom could be foun in every ‘Salón del Manga’ here in Spain. There are some events in which you can even enter free thanks to your cosplay. There are contests in every event and some of them are very important over the world such as the Yamato Cosplay Cup, in which take part one participant from every country.

I started doing cosplay last year when I made an Alice in Wonderland’s costume for the ‘Salón del Manga’ of Albacete. My group , who were dressing up such as characters of the Lewis Carroll’s work too, won the prize for the best group cosplay. It was really funny representing an scene about the Tim Burton’s film over the stage. This year my sister and I have participated as a two comic characters from Batman comics: Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. It was such a awesome experience. I’ve been in the ‘Salón del Manga’ of Valencia too and this year we’re planning to go to the Alicante’s and Murcia’s ones.

In conclusion, I would reccomend it to everybody because is a marvellous opportunity to meet new people, have a really awesome time and stop being shy, which is very useful for Enlglish classes and oral exams.

Stress, Stress everywhere

Well I'm gonna return to use that blog after too much time. I know I promise don't let it abandoned again but I had finished the University, and Summer came and it was all a mess, I wanted to disconnect of everything. But now here me go again! Well, first of all, I wanna comunnicate us that I'm gonna have English readers! Yeah, I now it's an amazing thing, I'm enthusiastic. Secondly this week has been really, really horrible, and it hasn't finished yet! On Tuesday I had a Valencian exam at the Official Lenguage School. As you can know, I passed my first year, First Basic Course, last year and now I'm in the second one of Basic. I was really nervous about the exam. Then, this morning I had my first German exam in all my life.  know, it was only a partial one, but I got so nervous that after doing it I had had my hair cut by myself! Ok, only the fringe, and it looks really good, but it has been some crazy! And tomorrow in the afternoon I have a Valencian oral exam about the things I'm supposed to have learnt last year, but I really forget everything! I hope tomorrow will come soon and everything pass. I absolutly want the weekend come because I'm going to my town, Albacete, where I live during the year when there's no University with my family and where I was born. I really miss my parents, my sister and all my friends. I'm really looking forward to drink some beer with them and to have party.

Bollywood

No me lo puedo creer todavía pero hoy hemos terminado Cris y yo la exposición de crítica sobre el Formalismo aplicado al poema "To His Coy Mistress", he terminado otro trabajo y retocado el de Alicia en el País de las Maravillas, he imprimido ambos trabajos y he comprado la cinta de pasamanería para el top de Bollywood. Mañana es la actuación en el teatro Flumen a las 19:30h aunque la entrada es con invitación. Lo más increíble de todo es que me he puesto a coser, a coser y siendo la primera vez en mi vida que lo hago me ha quedado algo decente. ¿Vosotros qué opináis? ^o^ ¡Y solo me ha costado hora y media! Estoy muy orgullosa de mí misma. Ahora mismo estoy preocupada pensando en como hacerme el peinado para mañana. Respecto a la coreografía la he practicado hace un momento y...¡perfecta! =) Bueno los que vayáis mañana a verme, mañana nos vemos, y a los demás, prometo fotos =) De momento os dejo cómo me ha quedado el traje al final. Fin de semana

Y ya en domingo, apenas a horas de otro fatídico lunes...y yo sin hacer los deberes, siin haber terminado el supuesto trabajo que tocaba esta semana...El tema me encanta, he sacado ideas geniales, pero no consigo desarrollarlas >.< ¡Es frustrante! Pero bueno algo haré. Me doy como plazo a mi misma hasta el martes por la mañana. Ayer en la playa creo que estuve a punto de quemarme, pero por los pelos jajaja. Bueno, y esta tarde a ver Hamlet con los de clase, ¡qué majos que son! ^^ Al menos con los que he tratado =D Espero que la obra merezca la pena. Me despido, ¡¡¡un beso!!!

Un finde movidito

Bueno pues el viernes finalmente por la tarde fui a los cines UGC forever alone, ya que nadie quiso y/o pudo acompañarme. Puede que sus precios parezcan caros, pero al seguir yendo me van regalando más tickets para que me siga costando 5 euros y al ser el único cine de Valencia que pone muchas películas en V.O.S me parece estupendo. Si alguien se apunta para ir la próxima vez no tiene más que decirlo =P. Continuemos con ayer sábado. Quedamos Alba y yo para ir juntas a los Quintos Castillo donde habíamos quedado con Jorge. La verdad es que nos echamos unas risas estupendas y como había partido en el Mestalla, estaban casi vacíos sin agobios. Después nos fuimos a merendar-cenar al McDonalds de la plaza de la Reina con Laura, donde había un chaval que a Jorge le sonaba (era monoso) jajaja, tenía pelazo. Después dejamos a Laura y nos montamos un botellón en la plaza de al lado de la resi, con bailes en la fuente y caída de Jorge incluida (jajaja, esa versión de Telephone =P). Después Alba nos llevó a una chupitería que estaba genial donde probamos diversos tipos de chupito: Duende, Amor de Verano, Chupetón...la verdad es que tenían nombres originales. Y ya después por fin regresamos a la Resi y Jorge a su piso. La verdad es que me lo pase genial, hicimos muchísimo el tonto y nos echamos un montón de risas. Gracias chicos.
Y ya hoy me ha tocado pagar el pato, y he sufrido una horrible resaca. Mira que el vodka normal no me gusta y ya sufrí una vez con él, pero no se por qué lo probé. Espero haber escarmentado esta vez.
